Aysgarth Falls

Only a mile from the street head inn, visit the national parc centre at aysgarth falls and follow the woodland paths to visit the three falls (upper, middle & lower falls)

Bolton Castle

We are spoilt for choice in the area for abbeys and castles. A favourite is just a few miles away from us across wensleydale, the medieval castle of bolton castle.

Wensleydale Creamery

No visit to the Yorkshire dales can end without a visit to the infamous Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes, the home of the real wensleydale cheese. Only 9 miles away you can enjoy watching the cheese been made and sample the many varieties in the tasting centre.

Buttertubs Pass

The Buttertubs Pass is a high road in the Yorkshire Dales, the road winds its way north form Simonstone near Hawes towards Thwaite and Muker past 20 meter deep limestone potholes called the Buttertubs.

Forbidden Corner

The Forbidden Corner is a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, follies and surprises created on the Tupgill Estate. This is a day out with a difference which will challenge and delight adults and children of all ages.

Grassington

Grassington is a lively place with shops, cafes and a regular farmers market, as well as now being the location of the fictional market town of Darrowby in All Creatures Great and Small. Grassington also has some magnificent walks along the river Wharfe.
