Private Events

The Street Head Inn can be reserved for a variety of private events, such as a birthday, christening, family, wedding or post funeral wake. The team would be delighted to help you plan your event to suit your individual requirements ? food, drink and entertainment.

Supporting Local Charities

Each year The Street Head Inn hold a series of events where proceeds are donated to a local Yorkshire Dales Charity.

Tour de France 2014 Grand Depart at The Street Head Inn

The Street Head Inn had the honour of being the finishing line of the first sprint of the first stage of the first day of the 101st Tour de France on 5 July 2014. Thousands visited Newbiggin, Bishopdale and the whole of the Yorkshire Dales to witness the journey of the Peloton through the Yorkshire Dales which was then confirmed as the Grandest of Grand Departs by the Tour de France organizers. The world came to the Yorkshire Dales which was showcased at its very best by beautiful weather shining across the splendour of the countryside supported by thousands of happy people from across the world.

Both before the event and since then, thousands of cyclists ? amateur and professional have cycled past The Street Head Inn and many have stopped for refreshments, a bite ot eat or just to take a photo as their momento of an event which will not happen again in our lifetime. So why not walk, cycle or drive through Bishopdale to experience this piece of recent history and stop for a moment at The Street Head Inn. A warm welcome awaits you.
